Protest at G4S AGM @ Holiday Inn
May 26 @ 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Join the Stop G4S campaign at the G4S AGM to protest the company’s role in human rights abuses in the UK and across the world:

• G4S is facing mounting pressure over abuses in child detention centres it runs for the UK government.

• It operates 3 immigration detention centres and provides services to Yarl’s Wood detention centre. There have been thousands of complaints made about conditions at G4S-run detention centres.

• The company helps Israel run prisons where Palestinian political prisoners are held without trial and tortured, as well as Israeli checkpoints, police training centres and military bases.

• G4S has a track record of involvement in abuses in the detention centres and prisons it runs in the US, South Africa and the Manus Island Detention Center in Papua New Guinea it operates for the Australian government.

UNICEF, UNHCR and the University of Helsinki are some of the latest organisations to cut their ties with G4S following campaigns over the role of G4S in human rights abuses.

G4S has reacted to growing anger by saying it wants to sell of its Israeli subsidiary and some of its detention businesses in the US and the UK.

But we know that G4S has a track record of saying one thing and then doing another and we know that even if these sales go ahead, G4S will remain involved in some of the world’s worst human rights abuses.

Join us to Stop G4S and demand that the government stops giving the company control over our public services.

Bring banners, flags and drums and bring yourself and your friends.

The No Border Camp shall create space for discussions, planning and
networking. Let's work together to develop alternatives of solidarity.
Let's start to live them instead of remaining only dreaming of a better
world and just criticizing the existing one!

Refugees and people in solidarity will find in the camp a place for
exchange, creativity and the possibility to share ones knowledge, skills
and experience with each other.

The camp will take place in a self-organized, anti-hierarchical and
consensual way. Therefore we need you and your ideas! Whether you have a
workshop on sustainable activism in mind, a documentary about the
situation at the borders, or a language course (all languages welcome) –
all kinds of activities which allow us to learn from and with each other
are welcome!

So if you have ideas for workshops, talks, activities or whatever –
brilliant! Let us know about it!

Write to: *program.nbc-ms@riseup.net*

We remain:

Pack your bag with good friends, smart contacts, ideas, sparkling
enthusiasm, camping equipment, burning hearts and:

Yalla – Let'€™s camp!
